Who Should Buy Arctis Nova 5X?
Good fit
Buy the Arctis Nova 5X if you play across several supported platforms and want one headset with both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth wireless.
Its compact USB-C dongle and broad device support make it a practical fit for a mixed console, computer, and mobile setup.
It also suits players who value game-specific audio presets, a stowable microphone, and long battery life. The on-headset ChatMix and Quick-Switch controls help keep everyday adjustments close at hand.
Who should skip it
Skip it if your setup depends on a connection method beyond 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, or if you prefer not to manage wireless switching between gaming and mobile listening.
If competitive voice chat is your main priority, check microphone performance for your environment before choosing a headset.
Arctis Nova 5X: Where Its Gaming Flexibility Matters
One headset across several systems
The Nova 5X is designed for players whose gaming does not stay on one device.
Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, Meta Quest, phones, and tablets are all within its stated compatibility range, with a compact USB-C dongle as the cross-platform connection point. Confirm that your particular device can use that dongle before buying.
Wireless that can change with the session
Quick-Switch makes the two wireless paths useful for a player who moves from gaming to calls or media. A tap changes between 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth 5.3, and incoming-call beeps can alert you while you play.
Buyers who want both modes at once should check whether a switching design fits their routine.
Presets and physical adjustments
The companion app’s more than 100 game audio presets are a strong fit for players who like choosing a tailored starting point for specific titles.
On the headset, ChatMix balances game and audio while mute and volume controls cover common adjustments without relying on the app.
Battery for extended play
The 60-hour battery is a useful fit for players who want fewer charging interruptions, while USB-C fast charge can restore six hours of use in 15 minutes.
Treat those figures as the product’s stated capacity; actual time between charges will depend on use.
